For Efficient Design and Development

I use storyboards consistently as a part of my creative process. However, I noticed I was constantly needing different criteria or making separate notes regarding things I felt were important; therefore, I started designing my own storyboards to better fit my job needs. From practical approaches to applying learning and instructional theories, these are the storyboards I have created so far. I welcome anyone to use them if they feel they are useful. Additionally, I have created a training displaying the how’s and why’s of using storyboards in a design process.

Good eLearning doesn’t simply create itself (though that would be great, wouldn’t it?). Just like every Beyoncé song starts by singing into a hairbrush in front of the mirror, every great eLearning begins as a storyboard. The trouble lies in knowing where to start and what to include. What is a storyboard in learning and development? Why do you even need one? And, if you've never created one, where do you learn how to storyboard? This session is aimed to answer all those questions and more. This session shows how to use storyboards in your course development process for organized and efficient content delivery.
